NIKE - BERLIN MARATHON 2025

Before the first steps of the Berlin Marathon could be taken, it all began on the huge scaffolding. Layer by layer, a massive red surface was created in the middle of Kurfürstendamm. On top of that, there was precise typography, clear contrasts, and an absolutely uncompromising size—raw, visible, and unmissable, true to the motto: “I see a red wall and I want to paint it black!”, inspired by the great Stones.
The finished mural makes a clear statement: “Athletes Only Beyond This Point.” A message that doesn't need to be explained, but simply has an impact. Placed in a monumental location, perfectly embedded along the route of the 2025 Berlin Marathon and visible around the clock – a visual marker for everything that is to come.
But the urban space was also given further consideration. At the Brandenburg Gate subway station, an everyday staircase was transformed into a motivational intervention thanks to foil in the same strong colors as the mural. “Your Best Worst Decision” runs step by step upwards and perfectly prepares Berliners and their guests for the upcoming Berlin Marathon.
On the day of the 2025 Berlin Marathon, everything came together. Thousands of runners passed by the mural and the Nike Run Hub in Masumi Space. Inside, there were stylish innovations from Nike to touch and try out. Outside, there were happy and exhausted runners, and all eyes were on us. Nike x CONCRETE CANDY!
